Dynamic Anamorphosis System

Summary

Although high-speed and tangible are important for realizing interactive 3D displays, it has been difficult to display 3D shapes using only the high-speed projector. In this project, we focus on anamorphosis, in which a distorted plane image is used to perceive 3D objects, and propose the Dynamic Anamorphosis System. We developed a high-speed feedback system with a delay of less than 6 ms at 1,000 fps and the tangible system that displays 3D objects by anamorphosis using the cylindrical mirror. We conducted experiments of 3D object displays inside the cylinder and simple physical simulations.
