Compact chip-to-chip parallel interconnections using GRIN rod lenses
Compact chip-to-chip parallel interconnections using GRIN rod lenses
Summary
We have designed and made a compact optical interconnection modules which contain GRIN rod lens. The use of GRIN rod lens makes it possible to make the optical system to be compact and give more interconnection channels compared with a system with conventional lens. By cascading such a compact interconnection module massively parallel processing system where several processing module are hierarchically connected could be made. More information can be seen here.
