Overview
SAILING Authors&Publishing is a private organization that was established as a society at the University of Tokyo in May 2014, with the purpose of publishing research results produced at the Ishikawa Watanabe Laboratory, Department of Creative Informatics and Department of Information Physics and Computing, and to act as a representative for its members. The organization intends to disseminate the research results of this Laboratory and to promote the development of related research fields through various activities. SAILING Authors&Publishing plays a role publishing books and materials related to this Laboratory, like"Recognition and Behavior in Smart Systems 2014", which is a collection of the research results of the Ishikawa Watanabe Laboratory in the form of a book. |
Purpose
Until today, the research results of the Ishikawa Watanabe Laboratory have been disclosed on the laboratory website, YouTube and Facebook. The laboratory receives a large number of inquiries from all over the world about the availability of publications and videos. As a consequence, it was decided to start publishing the research, both text and main videos, in printed and various digital forms. We take this opportunity to establish this organization, aimed at spreading interesting, socially accepted research results.
